PCT on Film - Roll 22
feral in Stehekin
Glacier Peak Wilderness chewed us up and spat us out on the other side. Broken trekking poles, a dented camera, torn waterproofs that weren’t proof enough for the Washington downpours anyway. Feral, we emerged from the overgrowth and entered into the North Cascades National Park.
From a remote trailhead we caught a shuttle bus to Stehekin, on the edge of Lake Chelan. There, we drank carton wine on the waterfront and raided the hiker boxes, hoping to score some noodles and mash for what was to be the final resupply.
Cleaned, fed and rested, with a celebratory beer stowed in our packs we re-joined the trail for the last time.
